Welcome to a world of extravagance in this elaborate Victorian home, built in 1869 and restored in 1990 in a historically preserved neighborhood of brick row houses, prized for its architectural elegance, gas-lit, tree-lined streets, brick sidewalks, window boxes, and hidden gardens. You are just one block from Charles Street with its antique shops and restaurants, and a short walk to the Boston Common, the Public Gardens, the financial district, the Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. Your hostess offers two spacious rooms on the second floor with a queen bed and a queen sleep sofa in one room, and double bed with a double sleep sofa in the other. There is a cot for a child, as well. Enjoy a home-cooked breakfast in a coral dining/sitting room with oriental rugs, a crystal chandelier, family antiques, and good conversation.

The hostess was excellent and we felt very welcome in her home. The Beacon Hill neighborhood is beautiful. Very comfortable stay and we would definitely stay with her again. - Robert

Overall, we found the place to be comfortable, clean, and an excellent location for seeing historic Boston. Susan is an intelligent conversationalist who can discuss a wide variety of topics. She also is a great resource for what is in the city. She helped us find bike rentals, taught us about parking in the city and bent over backwards to answer any questions we had. Her dogs quietly welcomed us every morning, were never intrusive and completed the sense of home. Probably my favorite thing about this B + B was that we were truly sharing a home. It was personal and we felt totally like we belonged - Kate
