Wellesley, Newton, Concord, Lexington Accommodations
Boston's Western suburbs are predominantly residential and many have charming town centers. Some are college towns, such as Wellesley and Newton, home to Boston College and Wellesley College. Some, like Concord, are hotbeds of American history and literature. If you happen to be here on Patriots's Day, you can witness the annual reenactment of the Battle of Lexington and Concord or, at other times of the year, walk the battle trail and visit the Museum of our National Heritage. There are no public Wellesley hotels so many visitors enjoy the few Wellesley bed and breakfasts. Many Newton neighborhoods are along the subway line to Boston College, Boston University and into Boston. A Newton inn is often a small bed and breakfast located in a lovely, sophisticated neighborhood with large homes.
