Two comfortable guest rooms share a living room, bath, and basic kitchenette in this pretty wood-frame house just half a mile from Tufts University in Medford. The rooms rent individually (single occupancy per room). The private guest rooms are clean and modest with basic furnishings, and slanted ceilings. One bedroom is quite large with a queen bed. The other is smaller with a queen bed and access to an adjoining screened porch.
Both rooms contain cabinet closets, chests of drawers, window air conditioners, and comfy, warm, steam heat radiators. The common living area is spacious, with a TV and kitchenette with two small refrigerators (one per room), a hot plate, a microwave, a toaster oven/grill, a crock pot, a coffee maker, and an electric tea kettle. The unit is private entry through the main hallway and up a steep set of stairs.
There’s a coin operated laundry in the building, and a laundromat is located two blocks from the house.
Free street parking, and access by bus to the Lechmere green line subway (which stops in Boston’s North End, Copley Square, Longwood Medical, BU, and BC) and the Davis Square red line subway (through Cambridge, Harvard, MIT, Massachusetts General Hospital, Beacon Hill, South Station, and the Boston Convention Center). The commuter rail into downtown Boston is just four blocks away.
